Butcher Block!
In addition to insulated glass panels for sunrooms and solar home, Arctic has recently begun selling surplus hardwood butcher block planks. These are made in Northern Wisconsin, and used for headboards and seatboards in bay windows..We are able to buy these extra material they want to and no orders to fill. All planks are made with kiln dried pieces of hardwood that are fingerjointed at the end joints, and the edge glue with waterproof glue, and then planed and sanded on one side. They make great bartops and countertops, and any cabinet shop can join them into longer or wide pieces. When a 1″ thich piece of wood is placed behind them, they are just the right width for use as countertop on 24″ deep counters. They can be finished with tung oil or food safe polyurethane. They make a durable countertop which should last a lifetime.
